HS Robotics at AZ College Prep

On Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Arizona College Prep in Chandler , Arizona, the North Pointe Robotics high school team competed in their third competition of the season.

North Pointe Prep  showed a great increase in performance by winning a second  sportsmanship award  of the season.  The winning team of the award was  6064C which composed of Ciera Pickering , Chloe Smith, Chloe Karels, and Kendra Miller.  Team 6064D, with Christian Espinal, Shanna Bragg, and Brandon Coloiacovo had the highest scoring robot from the North Pointe’s high school team making 40 points on its own.

The tournament was made up with 24 teams  teams competed in 36 matches in a round robin format. North Pointes Robotics team competed with a total of 4 robots, where each robot competed on 6 separate occasions.  At the conclusion of the competition the top 8 scoring robots were allowed to pick 2 robots for their alliance from the next  24 top scoring robots.  The four robots that we took competed reached 4th , 7th, and 8th alliance place in the tournament.
